- Gram shasini members have been able to lead advocacy initiatives for ensuring increased participation of women in Gramsabhas and Mahila Gramsabhas.
- Initiated the PEVAC campaign (pre election voter awareness campaign) last year during which 4500 women members were trained on citizenship, yielded enhanced awareness about Gramsabha and duties of citizens in the rural governance process. Through these 23% of Manch member got re elected in Panchayats.
- Established rapport with block and district offices and have availed spaces for the information centre and their meetings within the Block offices. The information centers act as bridge for communities to avail their entitlements
- Enhancing good and transparent governance, Gramshasini is now building capacities of 50 Panchayats in 6 blocks so that they become gender responsive. 49 of these panchayats have passed resolutions for holding Mahila Gramsabha and incorporating those issues in Main Gramsabha. 20 Panchayats have also agreed to check the anemia and mal nourishment in women and children, which they will monitor over next 3 years
- Motivating and mobilizing 50 Panchayats for ‘Jan Sunwai’ (public dialogues) on critical issues of women’s health and inadequate health services at village level
